Many pets and animals can benefit from chiropractic care just as humans can since they can have symptoms of being stiff, sore and find it hard to be mobile. Since both humans and animals are vertebrates, or in other words have spines, animals can experience the same injuries that humans get during falls and normal every day activity. The problem is that animals can’t speak to us to let us know what is wrong or where their pain is.

The spines that animals have are like human spines with the exact number of neck bones; both humans and animals have seven. Even more interesting, every mammal whether it is a human being or a family pet dog, has the same thoracic spinal segments with lumbar vertebrae and ribs attached and while theirs may be a tiny bit different from ours, the basics are the same for the most part.

The spine is what protects the nervous system. It covers it as an extension of our brains.
